Green Birthday Card

OK so I haven't been feeling very inspired or creative this week. I thought I'd just muck about with some scraps I have and see what I get.
Well It's not great! I ended up with a very green themed birthday card. Oh well, got to keep crafting right??

Here it is....

I started by using some scrap pieces of card that I had tried some foiling techniques on.

I first used the one with a white background and stenciled over it with Ranger Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers.

Next I die cut some dimensional flowers from the green foiled background.

I pushed the petals upwards and create my flowers.

Next I stuck a piece of white paper onto a green card for my background.

Then I used double sided tape the adhere some black ribbon 2/3rds of the way down on my stenciled panel.

I used craft foam to stick this onto my white and green background and then used super glue to stick my flowers at the bottom.

I wanted to try die cutting from foam so I used black craft foam for my happy birthday sentiment. (Should not have used this as I hate it!) I then stuck this on the top section of my panel.

Lastly I used more craft foam to add height to all the panels and stuck them onto the front of a white top fold card.

Not loving today's card, but sometimes that's what happens. You love some, you hate some, you learn from some. I think the important thing is that you keep crafting, keep creating, keep experimenting and keep learning. Thanks for reading and don't forget to subscribe/follow. Catch you next time.
